Bkgd.png

No two paths are the same. Each step you take will be unique!

Alpine’s Intensive Outpatient Programs provide structured, compassionate, trauma-informed behavioral health treatment for individuals who need more support than traditional weekly therapy but do not require inpatient hospitalization.

Programs are organized by age and developmental needs:

  • Adolescent IOP: Ages 12–17

  • Young Adult IOP: Ages 18–25

  • Maternal Mental Health & Substance Use Services: Pregnant and parenting women across adulthood

Adolescent IOP

Program status: Enrollment and referral interest are being accepted.

  • Ages: 12–17

  • Format: Virtual, In person in Colorado Springs October 2026

  • Schedule: After-school programming

  • Cohort Size: Approximately 6–8 participants

  • Program Length: Based on clinical need and individualized treatment planning

Who May Be a Good Fit?

The Adolescent IOP may be appropriate for youth who:

  • Need more support than traditional weekly outpatient therapy

  • Are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, or emotional dysregulation

  • Are struggling with substance use or co-occurring mental health and substance-use concerns

  • Have difficulty managing stress, relationships, school expectations, or major life transitions

  • Would benefit from structured therapeutic support several times per week

  • Are able to participate safely in a group-based outpatient setting

  • Have a parent, guardian, or caregiver available to participate in treatment when clinically appropriate

Treatment may include structured group therapy, individualized treatment planning, clinical assessment, care coordination, individual sessions, and family involvement when appropriate.

Admission is based on a comprehensive clinical assessment to determine whether intensive outpatient treatment is an appropriate and safe level of care.

Young Adult IOP

Program Status: Now enrolling and accepting referrals.

Designed for young adults ages 18–25 experiencing mental health, substance-use, or co-occurring concerns while navigating the transition into adulthood.

Format: Virtual

The program may support:

  • College students

  • Young adults entering the workforce

  • Individuals transitioning from foster care or other systems of care

  • Young adults needing additional structure and support beyond weekly outpatient therapy

Virtual programming may be available depending on cohort and service needs.

Maternal Mental Health & Substance Use Services

Program Status: Referrals and inquiries are currently being accepted.

Alpine’s provides specialized behavioral health support for pregnant and parenting women experiencing mental health, substance-use, or co-occurring concerns.

Format: Virtual

Services are designed to support women across adulthood and may address:

  • Pregnancy and postpartum emotional wellness

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Substance use and recovery

  • Co-occurring mental health and substance-use concerns

  • Parenting stress and adjustment

  • Relationship and family challenges

  • Grief, loss, and major life transitions

  • Building healthy coping skills and support systems

Treatment recommendations are individualized based on clinical assessment and level-of-care needs.

Who May Benefit?

Following a clinical assessment, the program may be appropriate for adolescents experiencing:

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Trauma-related symptoms or PTSD

  • Emotional dysregulation

  • Difficulty managing stress

  • School, family, or relationship challenges

  • Major life transitions

  • Co-occurring mental health and substance-use concerns

  • A need for more structure than weekly outpatient therapy provides

Alpine’s currently plans to address substance use within the context of co-occurring mental health treatment. This program should not be described as a dedicated substance-use IOP unless that service and its applicable payer arrangements are fully confirmed.

Step 3: Complete the Clinical Assessment

A comprehensive clinical intake assessment is completed to evaluate the participant’s needs, safety, eligibility, and appropriate level of care.

Step 4: Admission and Treatment Planning

If the program is clinically appropriate and space is available, the participant and parent or guardian will receive information about admission, scheduling, individualized treatment planning, insurance verification, and any applicable authorization requirements.
